The Eye Care Center, which delivers services throughout the Finger Lakes region since 1973, recently announced the promotion of two professionals.

Michelle Wheeler was promoted to the position of accounting manager and has been managing finances for The Eye Care Center for several months. Her efforts include working with health insurance, patient balances and supervision of employees, including the accounting team and the front desk staff at the Canandaigua, Newark and Geneva offices. In the past, she was assistant accounting manager and office supervisor. Prior to that, Wheeler was the office manager and a medical coder for Wayne Regional Eye Center. She holds a license as a certified professional coder (CPC). In addition to accounting expertise, Wheeler has a strong background in medical coding, medical terminology, and current procedural terminology or CPT industry knowledge. She graduated from Lockport High School and has completed concentrations at Bryant & Stratton College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, outdoor activities and traveling.
