Rochester Regional Health Foundation has earned a 2026 Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest independent nonprofit evaluator. The recognition designates the foundation as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, reflecting its performance against comprehensive standards that evaluate nonprofit health, accountability, and effectiveness.
The four-star designation is Charity Navigator’s highest rating and reflects a score of 90 or higher out of 100. Charity Navigator provides donors with independent ratings and information to help them make informed charitable giving decisions. Its evaluations consider more than financial performance alone, examining how organizations are led, how they manage resources, how they engage with their communities and how they measure their impact.
Charity Navigator evaluates nonprofits using criteria that may include financial health, governance, accountability, and transparency, helping donors make informed decisions about the organizations they support.
“This recognition reinforces the importance of the trust our donors place in us,” said Kelly Gagan, president of Rochester Regional Health Foundation. “Every gift represents a meaningful investment in the health and well-being of our community. We are committed to stewarding those contributions responsibly and connecting the generosity of our donors with the needs of the patients, families, and communities we serve.”
Through philanthropic support, the Rochester Regional Health Foundation helps advance priorities across Rochester Regional Health, including medical equipment, facility improvements, clinical programs, nursing education, and patient support initiatives. These investments help strengthen care and expand opportunities to meet the evolving needs of communities throughout the region.
