Jewish Home announces its skilled-nursing home has been ranked in the top 1% of all nursing homes in the country for quality of patient care — earning the position of 159 among nearly 13,900 nursing homes, as evaluated by the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS).
“We are proud of our outstanding interdisciplinary team, which was instrumental in the Jewish Home being recognized at a national level for efficiency, nursing excellence, and the highest quality of patient-centered care,” said Michele Schirano, Jewish Home administrator.
The rankings are achieved through CMS’s Value Based Purchasing (VBP) program, which assessed all nursing homes in the United States on four performance categories: 30-day readmissions to hospitals; infections requiring hospitalization; total nursing staff turnover; and total nursing hours per resident day.
